Dr. Bussell is the originator of this unique procedure. The two-stitch mini-facelift is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure. It is ideal for patients with early sagging and relatively less laxity, who are looking for a natural looking lift in the lower face or neck areas. The optimum candidates for this procedure are those in good health with mild to moderate facial aging.
How is it done?
The procedure is performed under local anesthesia and takes about one hour. A suture is placed in the upper lateral cheek. It is elevated and permanently secured above the ear, through a one-inch incision hidden in the hair line. Patients may experience minimal swelling and bruising. Taking Arnica two days prior to the procedure has helped minimize these side effects.Recovery
To help promote your recovery, it is important that you minimize your exposure to the sun. Also, refrain from any vigorous activity for four to five weeks following your surgery. How long does the lift last?
The effects of a mini-facelift last for roughly three to five years but may vary with each patient. The best results are achieved if you maintain a stable body weight and have skin with good levels of elasticity.Back to Cosmetic Procedures
